Dockside Dossiers: The Twelve Crates

A Mystery Puzzle Book for Adults: 12 Detective Cases and a Finale

By Joriel Rivas

Twelve sealed crates. One harbor office. A paper trail that does not add up.

Dockside Dossiers: The Twelve Crates is a mystery puzzle book for adults: twelve standalone investigations and a final case that ties them together, solved with logic, careful reading and the documents in front of you. No app, no QR codes, nothing to cut out.

The puzzles

Each case gives you a brief, two evidence packets, a later discovery that can change your theory, a reasoning board and a verdict to fill in. Every case has exactly one answer the evidence supports, and full worked solutions are in the back, with three levels of hints if you get stuck. Play alone, or with a partner who holds the other packet. The crimes are thefts, forgeries and smuggling, not murder.

Inside

  • 12 standalone cases (difficulty 3 or 4 of 5, about 20–45 minutes each) and a four-page finale
  • Document-style evidence: logs, timetables, ledgers, statements and maps
  • Three levels of hints for every case, kept well away from the cases
  • Full solutions with the reasoning laid out step by step
  • Black-and-white pen-and-ink illustrations, 8 × 10 in paperback, 200 pages

For adults and older teens who enjoy detective puzzle books, logic puzzles and mysteries they can solve at their own pace.
